Additional
Information
JusticeXchange
is an important tool for criminal justice - the only real-time
national "who's in jail" database.
JusticeXchange
is an integrated criminal justice application that provides
law enforcement and criminal justice personnel with instant
access to information about offenders held in jails across
the country. In Arkansas, JusticeXchange also provides information
on offenders held in the Department of Correction and those
currently on Probation and/or Parole. Based on data collected
automatically from local jail booking systems, JusticeXchange
is a data warehouse of current and historical information
about offenders, including biographical information, charges,
photographs, and incident reports, all accessible free of
charge through a secure web site.

offender record with extended data including charges and
photographs of inmates in custody within the Department
of Correction.
Driver's License Photos - The addition of driver license photos
to supplement county jail and state facility booking photos,
which will greatly increase law enforcement's offender identification
capability.
NCIC Record Validation - Currently, criminal justice
agencies in the state must manually validate the accuracy
of their criminal history records. By providing the ability
to perform this function on-line through JusticeXchange,
we increase the accuracy of the information we share with
the Department of Justice, alleviate the workload of the
reporting agencies, and bring the state of Arkansas into
compliance with the new DOJ requirements for electronic
validation of information submitted to NCIC.
